ARS 13-3404.01 prohibits a person from having certain precursor chemicals (ex. Chlorephedrine) and combinations. The law prohibits anyone from selling precursor chemicals without the correct labeling or in violation of any public safety rule. The law also prohibits a manufacturer from receiving any precursor chemical from or selling any precursor chemical to a person without a valid permit. The law lays out specific restrictions on the sale of precursor chemicals for retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.




Penalties


Unless the offense involves less than 50 grams of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, norpseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine, (in which you will be charged a misdemeanor class 1 or 2), all crimes involving possession or sale of precursor or regulated chemicals will be dealt with as a felony.
